The Body of Wisdom
Gabrielle Díona looking thoughtfully into the distance
About Gabrielle

The training was never the point. Seeing clearly was.

A decade-plus of training across bodywork, herbalism, and the psyche — not because any single tradition had the full answer, but because each one offered a different way of seeing.

Gabrielle Díona is an omnist at heart — she's never believed any single tradition holds the whole truth, but she's spent more than a decade convinced that most of them are holding a piece of it. That conviction is what's sent her back to school again and again, into apprenticeships, and across traditions as different as Ayurveda and IFS-informed parts work: not to master everything, but to keep following the thread of wisdom wherever it actually showed up.

It started earlier than any of that, with an undergraduate degree in human nature and ancient cultures and civilizations from The Evergreen State College — a specific, unusual combination that turned out to be exactly the right one. Studying how people across history have made sense of suffering, power, desire, and connection gave her a long view of human nature: what we're capable of at our best, and at our worst, and how much of both tends to live in the same person.

That's still the real interest underneath all the training since. Not any single modality, but the older, deeper material — the archetypes and stories people keep living out, often without realizing it. IFS has become the center of gravity for the personal healing work at The Body of Wisdom, because genuine healing, in her experience, tends to happen when someone can actually see the pattern they're in clearly enough to work with it, instead of being quietly run by it.

In Practice

What does this look like for you?

The way Gabrielle has studied and thought about human nature shows up most directly in how well she can hold a client's personal history — the fullness of it — without judgment. That depth gives her a kind of discernment — a sharp, clear edge for helping you cut through to your own clarity and truth, while at the same time holding space for what's underneath the parts of you that are holding fear: your core self, your true nature, which has always been calm, clear, grounded, and loving.
