The Body of Wisdom
Practitioner Development

The Embodied Practitioner Series

Nobody arrives in pieces. A person comes with a body, a nervous system, a history, and something they're protecting — all at once, all in the same room. Whether that person is a client on your table or you on someone else's.

Most training hands you one of those at a time and leaves you to assemble the rest yourself. This training series is different. Five modules, taken in any order, and a final immersion where you find out exactly how to hold all of it at once.

Who This Is For

Everything in one place, from one teacher.

Two reasons people come to this, and neither is a lesser version of the other.

You’re building a practice.

You may already have training — massage school, a therapy license, a modality you know well. What you don't have is the rest of it. You want to open a private practice, or offer retreats, or finally understand Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine principles, herbal work, energetics, shadow and the more niche territory of the psyche, and soft-touch bodywork.

Ordinarily that means assembling it from six different teachers over several years, hoping the pieces fit together. This is that education in one place, from one person, built to cohere.

or

You’re doing this for your own life.

You're not building a practice. You want this knowledge for your own life — for your own healing, for your family, for the people you love and the children you're raising.

The experiential track exists for exactly this. Same teaching, same rooms, no case work and no certification. What you learn is yours to use for yourself and your own people.

The Shape of It

A wheel, not a ladder.

I The Field II The Psyche III The Body IV The Practice V The Immersion always last

Start anywhere. Tap a pathway to see what it holds and how it connects.

The four pathways can be taken in any order. There's no prerequisite chain and no wrong place to begin. Start where you're drawn, or where your practice most needs something.

Around the rim, each one feeds the next. Across the middle, each one also checks and informs the two it doesn't sit beside — the way the five elements both generate and temper one another. Someone receiving cranial work in The Body notices a part surface. Someone doing parts work in The Psyche feels an energetic shift. Someone in The Practice realizes their business model doesn't honor their own energetic capacity.

The Immersion always comes last. It isn't a fifth subject. It's the one where you find out whether you can hold all of it at once.

Two Ways Through

Decide this first.

Every module can be taken either way, and the teaching in the room is identical. What differs is what you're asked to do outside the room, and what you're permitted to do afterward.

Track One

The practitioner track

For people who intend to offer this work professionally. Completing all five modules on this track earns certification through The Body of Wisdom and my endorsement to practice what you've learned.

For each module, you'll also

  • Receive one session from me, so you've experienced the work from the client's side before offering it from the practitioner's
  • See eight practice clients using what that module taught, and bring what happened back

And in The Practice

  • Build a real business plan for how you actually intend to work — not a hypothetical one
Track Two

The experiential track

For people who want this for themselves. You attend, you learn, you practice in the room, and you take it into your own life. No practice clients, no case work, no business plan.

What you learn here is yours to use for yourself, and with friends and family. It does not come with certification, and it does not come with my endorsement to offer these modalities professionally or for payment.

The Immersion, on this track

  • You're welcome in it as a practice participant — receiving the work from practitioner-track students, under my oversight
  • You get the full experience of the immersion; you don't get the certification that comes with completing it as a practitioner
The Five

What each one holds.

Pathway I

The Field

Energetics, Perception & Boundaries
What am I sensing?

Drawn from many energetic systems and built around the principles that hold true across all of them. This is where you learn to perceive, and just as importantly, to tell perception from projection — the difference between what's actually in the room and what you brought into it.

Perceiving
  • Energetic perception and subtle-body frameworks
  • Grounding, centering, clearing, resetting
  • Working with another person's field
  • Hands-on and hands-off approaches
Discerning
  • Intuition and discernment
  • Projection versus perception
  • Energetic boundaries and hygiene
  • Consent and energetic ethics
Pathway II

The Psyche

Parts, Archetypes, Tarot & the Oracular
What is happening within?

An exploration of the many selves inside a person and how we relate to them. Protective parts, exiled parts, the internal polarizations that keep someone stuck — and the shift from trying to fix a part to getting curious about what it's protecting.

Then the harder half: what to do when parts show up in someone else's session. This is not training you to become a psychotherapist. It's teaching you to recognize a part when it appears, respond without reinforcing a story, ask curious rather than leading questions, stay firmly inside your scope, and know the moment when what someone needs is a mental health professional.

Relational awareness
  • Projection, transference and countertransference
  • Practitioner projection and resonance
  • Attachment patterns and boundaries
  • Staying differentiated while staying connected
Archetype & tarot
  • The Major Arcana as archetypal journey
  • Shadow, myth, symbol, dream, imagination
  • Reading for oneself and for another
  • Ethical use of divination

Tarot isn't a separate subject here. It's another language psyche uses to reveal itself — and a mirror for the practitioner too. The question you learn to ask is: is this card telling me something about this person, or is it showing me something about the part of me that's looking at them?

Pathway III

The Body

Womb, Heart & Head
What is the body telling me?

The hands-on training. Soft touch, cranial foundations, listening through the hands, and the discipline of stillness. Anatomy, fascia, nervous system, breath — and the three regions this work centers on: the womb and pelvis, the heart and chest, the head and cranium.

What makes this different from a technique course is that the connection to psyche stays explicit throughout. Where does a part live in the body? What happens physically when something stops feeling safe? How does emotion actually move through tissue, breath, posture, and sensation?

The work
  • Soft touch and cranial foundations
  • Listening hands and stillness
  • Womb and pelvis, heart and chest, head and cranium
  • Scar work
The ground
  • Anatomy, fascia, nervous system, breath
  • Somatic perception
  • Physical boundaries and consent
  • Where energetics meets tissue
Pathway IV

The Practice

Bringing the Work Into the World
How do I responsibly offer what I know?

The professional and practical pathway, and the one most trainings skip or hand-wave. Ethics, scope, consent, power, referral, and the self-awareness required to hold any of it. How a session is actually built — intake, perception, choosing an approach, combining modalities, opening and closing, integration.

Then the parts nobody teaches: what you offer and to whom, how to price it, policies, scheduling, bookkeeping, taxes, insurance, marketing, a website, referrals. And underneath all of that, the question that decides whether any of it lasts — whether you've built a practice around your actual life and your actual capacity, or one that will quietly consume you.

The offering
  • Who you serve and what you offer
  • Designing sessions, packages, series
  • Groups and workshops
  • Pricing and policies
The sustainable practice
  • Capacity and energy management
  • Burnout prevention
  • Financial sustainability
  • A practice built around your real life
Pathway V · Always Last

The Immersion

The Whole Human
Can I hold all of this at once?

Four days, possibly five. A residential immersion built along the lines of traditional restorative protocols — a period genuinely set apart, where the ordinary demands stop and the work is received rather than studied. Roughly half of it you spend receiving. Roughly half you spend giving, with me overseeing the practice. You are both client and practitioner, and neither role is a performance.

You receive. You practice. You observe. You reflect. You integrate. Body, field, psyche, plants, and relationship are held together rather than taken in turn, because that's how they actually arrive in a real session with a real person.

This is not a demonstration of four techniques. It's the place where you find out what happens when nothing is separated out for teaching purposes — and whether you can stay present to a whole human being rather than to one pathway at a time.

Where this parts ways with tradition

Traditional restorative protocols like panchakarma inform the shape of this — the setting apart, the rhythm, the care. But I part company with them at aggressive detoxification, and I want to be direct about why. I don't think those protocols are good for people. I think a fair number of them are actively harmful, and most of the industry built around them runs on fear.

I also don't want to build the kind of life I have to detoxify from. That's the deeper objection. A practice that requires periodic punishment to survive is a practice built wrong, and no amount of cleansing fixes the underlying arrangement.

So what this immersion brings instead is nourishment — a wise woman herbal principle, and one far more aligned with the kind of life I want for myself, my students, and the people they'll go on to serve. You will be fed, rested, and tended. You will not be depleted in the name of purity.

What runs through all of it.

Plants are present throughout. Not as a fifth subject but as a thread — plants as archetypal beings, plant symbolism and folklore, sensory practice, dream relationships, plant allies, and the way our relationship with a particular plant tends to reveal something about us.

So are bodywork and energetics. You'll be touching and being touched in the psyche pathway. You'll be tracking energy in the body pathway. You'll be noticing what your own field does in the business pathway. The separations exist so the material can be taught, not because they're real.

Which is the point of the whole design. Not an energy class plus a tarot class plus a bodywork class plus a business class — four doors into the same house, and then an invitation to live in the whole house.

What certification here does and doesn't mean.

Completing the practitioner track earns certification through The Body of Wisdom. That is my endorsement, as your teacher, that you've done the work and can responsibly offer what you've learned. It carries the weight of that, and it should not be mistaken for anything else.

It is not a state license, and it does not authorize you to practice anything that requires licensure where you live. Requirements for touch-based work vary by state and sometimes by city, and it remains your responsibility to know what applies to you and to work inside it. Nothing taught here trains you as a psychotherapist or mental health professional, and a central part of the training is learning where your scope ends.

On the experiential track, what you learn is yours for yourself, your friends, and your family. It does not come with permission to offer these modalities professionally or in exchange for payment. That isn't a technicality — the practice clients, the sessions received, and the case work are what make the difference, and they're the reason the endorsement means something.

Investment

What it costs.

Each pathway
$850
  • Per module, taken in any order
  • Same price on either track
  • Pay as you go — there's no lump sum for the whole series
The Immersion
$850 + materials
  • Four days, possibly five, residential
  • Plus a separate budget for the people you'll be working on
  • Taken last, after the four pathways

Why the immersion has a materials budget

Giving someone a genuine immersion experience costs money. Herbs, oils, food, supplies, whatever the person in front of you actually needs across several days. On the practitioner track you'll be responsible for that budget yourself rather than having it folded invisibly into a course fee.

That's the assignment, not an add-on. You plan a realistic budget, you spend it, and afterward you work out what you would have had to charge for that experience — materials, your labor, your time, your overhead — to make it a viable offering rather than a beautiful thing you lose money on. Most practitioners discover what their work actually costs to deliver years too late, usually after underpricing it for a long while. Here you find out while someone is standing next to you.

The figure is set once the immersion dates and format are confirmed, and you'll know it well before you need to spend anything.

* If cost feels out of reach, reach out anyway — I keep a limited number of discounted spots open, I'm open to trade, and there are often creative ways to make it work when both of us have the capacity.

Dates are being scheduled now.

The series is being built out module by module, and dates go out as they're set. If you'd like to be told when they are — or if you already know which pathway you want to start with — get in touch and say so.

If you're not sure yet which track is right, that's a normal place to be. Tell me where you are and what you're hoping this does for you, and we'll work it out together.

Looking for something shorter? I also host visiting teachers for four-day intensives in visceral manipulation, ancestral healing, and craniosacral work — separate from this series, and open to anyone.
